Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our team of practicing Intensivists and Advanced Practice Providers to provide 24/7 on-site care to ICU patients in the 20-bed medical and 18-bed surgical ICU
• Work alongside Intensivists and APPs with a diverse mix of ICU clinical practice time

Qualifications:

• Board-certified Physician Assistant
• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license
• Prior experience practicing in the ICU as a critical care physician assistant, demonstrating ability to independently assess, examine and provide care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including procedures such as central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes
• Work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team
• An active Missouri license is preferred

Scheduling:

• Full-time Advanced Practice Providers work an average of 15 shifts per month, a block shift schedule, generally 4-5 day stretches. We work together to manage the schedule as equitably as possible, providing Intensivists with a great work/family life balance

Key Responsibilities:

• The ICU operates as a closed unit, except for co-management of cardiovascular ICU patients.
• Subspecialty back-up is available, a rapid response team, and a code blue team
• We work in EPIC, with access to our own internal informatics platform
