The House Professional Registration and Licensing Committee will meet tomorrow at 12:30 to hear 2 bills of direct interest to APRNs.

  • HB 1574, filed by Rep. Rowland is a bill that removes the mileage barrier for APRN's in collaborative practice agreements and increases the number of APRN's that a physician may collaborate with from 3 to 5.
  • HB 2233, filed by Rep. Ross is very similar in nature but applies specifically to APRN's working in community behavioral health clinics.

Both of these bills are a step in the right direction to remove some of the barriers to APRN's. Constituent input through written or oral testimony is STRONGLY encouraged.

If you are able to attend the hearing to testify in support of the bill, the hearing will be held in House Hearing Room 6 at 12:30 (or on morning adjournment). If you are not able to attend in person, please send your written testimony to us ASAP and be sure to complete the witness form attached.

Your stories and your engagement on these issues is absolutely imperative. Please take the time to help committee members understand how these unnecessary regulations are burdensome and detrimental to healthcare in Missouri.

Feel free to call, text, or email with any questions.
