Missouri Board of Nursing - Call to Action

Posted almost 6 years ago by Aleisha Breen

Please see this message from the Missouri BON.

Dear All,

I wanted to follow up about the rule change to expand the APRN mileage restriction from 30/50 to 75 miles. We delivered an EMERGENCY RULE request to the Secretary of State’s Office on Monday, April 16, 2018.

I will keep watching their web site and let you know when it is published and effective. https://www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/EmergenciesforInternet/emergency

I am asking for your help to send a call to action out to your APRNs to ask them to enroll in Nursys e-Notify AS A NURSE - https://www.nursys.com/EN/ENDefault.aspx#

When they enroll (or update information), they provide workforce information.

They would need to click on the CREATE A NURSE ACCOUNT link.

If they are already enrolled, they would sign into their account to update information.

I believe it would be helfpul to know practice location of APRNs as the rule is currently (30/50 mile restriction in place) vs. how it changes when the mileage is increased to 75.

If we could get APRNs to enroll and complete the workforce information before the emergency rule is effective, we would have information that may be helpful to policy makers when considering future rule changes.
