At the most recent AANP Health Policy Conference, HHS Secretary Alex Azar spoke to the group about the federal government's response. AANP's Missouri State Representative Margaret Benz shared the following information:
The government has just opened a new site combining current recommendations for all levels related to COVID 19. It is coronavirus.gov It is updated daily. All gov sites including CMS now are all merged to this link. I thought it might be helpful to share with your membership since many patients look to nurses as a resource

Quick question.... That is amazing that Secretary Azar said that. How does that bode in Missouri? Are we under that jurisdiction or does the state override it?
Article VI of the U.S. Constitution establishes that no state law can conflict with a federal law. When it does, the federal law is deemed to be the superior. It remains to be seen what the state level view of the Executive Order is. There will likely have to be a federal directive or pressure to bring states in line with the Executive Order.
