Call For Nominations - Special Election

Dr. Shanna Chapman – DNP, FNP-C, FAANP, APRN was recently elected as the Region 7 Representative to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and will assume that role this month. Consequently, Dr. Chapman was required to resign her leadership position with AMNP as Vice President of the association. Accordingly, the bylaws of the Association of Missouri Nurse Practitioners require a special election to fill the unexpired term of Dr. Chapman. The term concludes on December 31st, 2022, with a planned succession to serve as President of AMNP for the following year.

In recognition of this resignation, the board of directors has approved the call for nominations to fill the unexpired term of Vice President, commencing on June 15th, 2021 and concluding on July 15th, 2021, with a special election immediately following. Karin Riepe – Membership Chair of AMNP will be accepting nominations for the office until the close of business on July 15th. All nominees should be a member in good standing of the association with an unencumbered license to practice and free of any conflicts of interest. Nominations will only be accepted from current members of AMNP.

To nominate an individual for Vice President, please email Karin Riepe, Membership Chair at nursepractitioners@missourinp.org and include the name and contact information of the individual that you would like to nominate. Self nominations will also be accepted.
