CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - AMNP BOARD OF DIRECTORS

In accordance with the bylaws for the Association of Missouri Nurse Practitioners, the Board of Directors is accepting nominations until June 30, 2025 for the following elected positions to begin serving a two-year term starting in January 2026.
Duties for each office are as follows:
- Treasurer – Chair finance committee, oversee the receipt of dues and other funds of AMNP, deposit and disburse funds, keep an itemized account of all receipts and disbursements, deliver financial updates to board meetings, submit account ledger to be audited, coordinate meetings with organization’s accountant and/or staff
- Advocacy Chair – Provide reports to members on state or local issues impacting state or federal nurse practitioner scope of practice, plan Advocacy Day, conduct meetings with committee to review legislation dealing with healthcare issues, educate the local public, groups, media and legislators regarding restrictions to full scope of practice authority for Missouri nurse practitioners, promote alliances with healthcare and non-healthcare groups, meet with elected officials to educate them on the current nurse practitioner scope of practice restrictions, schedule bi-weekly and urgent meetings during the legislative session, create and lead meeting agendas, delegate assignments to members based on the legislative agenda, complete meeting minutes, facilitate collaboration with other local and state organizations with similar interests, collaborate with the AMNP Lobbyist.
- Northwest Region Representative - Act as the contact for communications and other grassroots activities, Hold bi-annual (or quarterly) member meetings in their region, Work with the Vice President and Professional Development Chair to plan and promote meetings and workshops in their region, Work with the Membership Chair to find ways to engage and grow membership in their region.
- Northeast Region Representative - Act as the contact for communications and other grassroots activities, Hold bi-annual (or quarterly) member meetings in their region, Work with the Vice President and Professional Development Chair to plan and promote meetings and workshops in their region, Work with the Membership Chair to find ways to engage and grow membership in their region.
- Southeast Region Representative - Act as the contact for communications and other grassroots activities, Hold bi-annual (or quarterly) member meetings in their region, Work with the Vice President and Professional Development Chair to plan and promote meetings and workshops in their region, Work with the Membership Chair to find ways to engage and grow membership in their region.
- St. Louis Region Representative - Act as the contact for communications and other grassroots activities, Hold bi-annual (or quarterly) member meetings in their region, Work with the Vice President and Professional Development Chair to plan and promote meetings and workshops in their region, Work with the Membership Chair to find ways to engage and grow membership in their region.
To be eligible as an officer, the member must be in good standing with an unencumbered license. Eligible candidates are those who are regular members or student members who have graduated and are certified in their APRN role.
To nominate an individual for office, please email the name, phone number, and email address of the nominee by close of business on June 30, 2025 to nursepractitioners@missourinp.org.
Following the close of nominations, biographies/CV information will be provided for all candidates to all AMNP members in good standing in advance of the election beginning.
